Air Attack Strategy Guide (TH7-TH9)
Air attacks achieve some of the most reliable 3 star victories in war. TH7's are asked to attack via air as a general rule. Early and mid-level TH8's will use Level 3 dragons for most attacks, and TH9's will find that some TH9's will be best taken out by full air or air combo attacks. This is a guide of the most useful strategies for any budding air attacker to learn - please study carefully.
Townhall 7 & 8 Air/Hog Strategies
Hog Strategy
TH8 bases with centralized ADs and an anti-hog ring can be especially difficult to 3 star. This is the most proven strategy to beat them. With proper planning, nearly every TH8 base can be 3 starred with this strategy. This is not a true air attack but is an important consideration of a combination between the two.
Dragons + Spells
You'll need: Dragons & Lightning orRage/Heal Spells. 3 Lightning spells usally work best, but Rage can work against weak air defense bases, OR when using L3 dragons. Easy to take TH7 or even many TH8 bases as a TH7.
As a TH7, it is preferred that you use lightning spells instead of rage/heal
Herding/Funneling
What exactly does it mean to herd or funnel your dragons? Many people have room for improvement, and here is a very simple guide for you to follow.
Make sure that you are using two dragons (or drag + BK) to take out side structures first, then drop drags between to create that funnel and herd them!
Townhall 9 & 10 Air/Hog Strategies
LavaLoonion (TH9)
LavaLoonion is currently one of the most overpowered and efficient attack strategies in Clash of Clans. This strategy can be used in wars to 2 star maxed out TH10's or even 3 star maxed out TH9.
GoWiPe (TH10)
GoWiPe is a powerful attack composition with the three main troops being Golems (Go), Wizards (Wi) and PEKKAs (Pe). It is often used by elite players and when deployed correctly can easily get 2-3 stars.
