Townhall Upgrade Policy

 

Due to the rigors of war and matchmaking weights, we have the following townhall upgrade policies:

 

• MAX YOUR TOWNHALL (before upgrading)

  • This means all your war troops and any future war troop should be finished maxing before your TH finishes

  • Upgrade your walls as much as you can (shoot for 80-100%)

  • Your hero(es) should also finish maxing by the time upgrade completes

  • Time your gold and elixer stores to be completely full when your new TH finishes -- you'll need it

 

• DO OFFENSE BEFORE DEFENSE 

  • When you start your TH, you should first upgrade your lab and get it researching (this is your bottleneck)

  • Build only offense/resource structures and only the 1-2 defensive structures outlined below until you can 3 star your entire TH level

    • Usually only upgrades to your current structures

  • Our recommended upgrade plans (custom built for WAR & GLORY) are below

    • There are additional months of each TH as well, but this provides a solid starting point
